WayFarer, here you are! Finishing this last week of keeping company with Jesus, before we walk with King Jesus into Holy Week.

As you navigate waves, eyes on the One who walked on waves, who has your name etched on His hands, who carried your burden to the cross and bore them for you – you can know this about your waves:

“Seeing that a pilot steers the ship in which we sail, who will never allow us to perish even in the midst of shipwrecks, there is no reason why our minds should be overwhelmed with fear and overcome with weariness,” writes JOHN CALVIN

And our hearts rise with the Psalmist: “You rule the raging of the sea; When its waves rise, You still them.” — PSALM 89:9

So together, we keep returning to it every day, to what King Jesus asked His disciples to examine in their own hearts, out in the middle of a storm: “Why are you so afraid?” (Mark 4:40).

No question may matter more.
