You may feel like you somehow got locked out of the dream life, but no one can lock you out of Jesus who loves you more than you could possibly ever dream.
You may feel like everything in your world’s changing, and too fast, and nothing holds, but Jesus holds and He holds fast to you.
You may feel rather forgotten and left behind, but you’ve got Jesus, who left behind all of actual Heaven so He could get to be with all of you.

You may not feel beautiful enough to be attractive, but the beauty of Love Himself is attracted to you and calls you His Beloved and wants nothing more than to be with you.
You may feel like you somehow missed out on some great love story, but Love Himself daily writes Himself into your story because He was willing to do whatever it takes to not miss out on you, and for you to not ever miss out on Him.
You get to live in more than some romantic movie scene —
you get to live in the sure arms of God who loves you lavishly and obscenely.
Because there is something infinitely better than Hollywood’s movies and Hallmark’s cards — there is a holy passion that loves you infinitely.
Our hearts do well & are intimately comforted that the very word passion itself was recorded in English for the very first time in the early 1170’s, in the translation of the Latin Bible — to describe the “suffering of Jesus on the Cross”.
Passion literally is rooted in the Latin word, passio — meaning “to suffer.”
Passion originally was only used, solely and exclusively, to speak of the cruciform, suffering love of Jesus —- the passion of Jesus.
The love we long for isn’t found in someone giving us roses — but in the only One who gave us Himself, the only One who has ever loved us to death, and then rose so we could forever keep rising too.
The word passion didn’t refer to romantic love until several hundred years later, till the late 1580s.
The earliest, original and primary understanding of passion — is the passion of Jesus.
The passion the whole world is seeking in the passion of Jesus who never stops seeking us.
The love we long for isn’t found in someone giving us roses —
but in the only One who gave us Himself, the only One who has ever loved us to death, and then rose so we could forever keep rising too.
Love is more than a feeling, but don’t miss that love is actually more than a choice —
Love is a person
who chooses you
and reaches daily for you to
make a choice for Him and feel the Love you’ve been looking for your whole life.
The Love you want —
isn’t ultimately found in all we want
but in Love Himself
who ultimately wants you.
Why can it feel easier to accept that we are eternally saved by Jesus’ than that we are daily loved by Jesus?
