Wherever you are right now, you can trust it:

There is always a way through – because the Way Himself gave Himself to you.

The Way went all the way to the cross to give Himself to you. To you, for you. You have more than a way through – you have The Way Himself.

Be Still today – and know God. Know how You have the Way.

Attend to God – attend to how God attends to you, right now, how He alone loves you to death –  and back to the realest life in His love.

Cruciform the form of the day, the form of our thoughts… in the posture of the Cross, in the vulnerability of the posture of cruciformity, how can we open up, open our arms and surrender, in what ways can we live open handed, and into His hands commit what we have been holding on to?

Revelations of God’s heart for you are waiting in His word – to show you more of His Way for you and through you, carrying you through the world.

And as we turn toward what it means to live a life of examine
we see how we examine our hearts – to return our hearts to God.

Returning and repentance are hand-in-hand themes.

The definition of repentance is to turn from sin in remorse – and every time we turn from something, we turn to something. Today, we get to turn from fears, from sin, from all that lies to us that it will comfort us more than God Himself, we get to just turn our eyes upon Jesus — and return to God.

All fear is fraud, all fear lies that we could somehow end up beyond the love and arms of God — and the truth is nothing is beyond God.

The thing always is: Before we can turn and return – we first get to turn to examine the ways our heart turns toward self, examine all the ways fear makes us turn, instead of letting love turn us toward Love Himself.

Jesus asks us to examine our own hearts when He asks, “What are you so afraid of?” (Mark 4:40).

What if you asked your soul right now: What are you afraid of? What are you afraid might happen – or might not happen? What are you afraid of for people you love? What are you afraid might be around some corner in the future? What fear is driving you hard?

Behind much sin – is often much fear.

Driving much darkness – is much fearfulness.

The reason God says more than 360 times in Scripture, “Do not be afraid” – is because saying “Do not be afraid” is another way of saying, “Do not sin.”

If we want to stop sinning – we need to stop being fearful.  The only fear we need have is an awed fear of the fierceful love of God.

If we fear the Lord – we fear nothing else.

“if you take up in Him, and walk with the Way, in the Way, there are no dead ends or bad endings or ends of the road—
there is only the end of fear.

The truth is: All fear is fraud, all fear lies that we could somehow end up beyond the love and arms of God — and the truth is nothing is beyond God.

Fear is always about thinking that we could get somewhere and find that God ran out somehow, that He ended somewhere back there.

But God doesn’t have an end—

So if you take up in Him, and walk with the Way,
there are no dead ends or bad endings or ends of the road—
there is only the end of fear.

No one, or no habit, no thorn, no heart ache, no mountain, no bump in the road, no detour, no ‘closed’ door, not one iota of the universe is beyond the touch of God, the power of God, the heart of God, the hope of God.

Ps. 31:24 MSG reads:

Be brave.
Be strong.
Don’t give up.
Expect God.
”

The other thing is:  Brave doesn’t mean feeling no fear. Brave simply means something — SomeONE — is more important than feeling those fears.

“Brave doesn’t mean feeling no fear. Brave simply means something — SomeONE — is more important than feeling those fears.”

You can cast out every fear today & you can leave behind every worry — because Jesus already crushed fear’s head & He will never leave you, never forsake you, never stop carrying you & with God all. things. are. Possible!

No matter what’s in front of you today: You Can! Because He Did! He already did – and said: It is finished.

Dare to draw nearer to the One who is so taken with you —
that He will take you in His arms & carry you all the way through today.

Today, you are on the way, when you trust
that in the way of Jesus,
there are no dead ends
or bad endings
or ends of the road—
there is only the end
of all fear.
