It’s worth risking wonder, because we can brave a culture of cynicism and outrage, but we can’t live in a culture devoid of wonder.
My shame kept me quiet, safe, alone but it also kept me from knowing other broken ones.
He came — because in all our pain, we don’t want some answers like we want a Someone.
Our pain does not minimize His goodness to us but, in fact, allows us to experience it in a whole new way.
For such a time as now, we live shaped like a Cross, reaching right out, because this how He begins to reshape the world.
There’s a God who allows Himself to be a Light house to see us through storms.
Life’s not about growing your career, your bank account, your retirement fund, your platform, your status — life’s about growing your soul.
God so forgave the wrongs of the world, that He bled for the rebirth of the world.
A flourishing human existence finds its source of power in God and is demonstrated through a life of love.
You can’t truly be a warrior of the gospel unless you’re a justice warrior — and you can’t truly be justice warrior unless you’re warrior of the Gospel.
I had no assurance of anything other than the God of heaven, His sovereignty, His fearsome might.
Sometimes it feels as if God has invited Himself into my pain, when I had hoped to be invited into His healing.
For in the end, it will be fine.
The great promise has always been, not that we would go to live with God, but that God would come to make His home with us.
He’s not yet brought final peace on earth, but He can bring peace in you.
